Maker Booth – San Jose Made Craft Holiday Fair

Join us as our Youth Leaders provide instruction on making fun holiday ornaments. Make a Light Up Bulb, Light Up Oragami Ornament, or an Ugly Sweater Ornament. Fund for all ages, so bring the family. This fun maker activity is at booths 284 & 296 near the dining area. The Fair is free and so are our activities. Hope to see you there!

“I Have a Dream” Light Up Frame Workshop

Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy by sharing your dreams in this fun paper circuit project. Assemble the frame and add your dream in the bubble, using an LED light and coin cell battery to light it up. It can be used as a night light for daily inspiration! A great family activity.

Lunar New Year Noisemakers

A Free Drop In STEAM Workshop Instructor: Lauren Cage Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Firecracker Noise Makers. In this workshop, students will use elastic energy to create a firecracker noise maker that makes a loud “POPPING” sound. A great family activity.

Luz de la Comunidad – Light-Up Aztec Bracelet

This culturally inspired workshop celebrates the Aztec New Year, which is celebrated on March 12th annually. Students will design and create their own Light Up Bracelets using symbols from the Aztec calendar. A great sewing circuitry project.

Petri Dish Kaleidoscopes

Come make your very own kaleidoscope using a paper tube and a petri dish. Use different materials in the petri dish to create  lots of beautiful images! A great family activity. Clothespin Automata

Let’s celebrate Earth Day with a fun and thoughtful activity with environmental artist and educator Michele Guieu.
