Let’s celebrate Earth Day with a fun and thoughtful activity with environmental artist and educator Michele Guieu. Using a simple mechanism (a clothespin!), create a cute automaton of a bee, a moth, or a butterfly landing on a flower. Maybe you’ll make them all – and you’ll get some seeds to plant! Pollinators are not only beautiful, they work endlessly to help bring food to our table. We need to help them in return by planting bright colored flowers to attract them.
Michele is an instructor at our Summer Art & Design Thinking Camp and will be teaching Art & the Environment from June 24 – 28, 2019. Visit www.artanddesigncamp.weebly.com for more information about our summer camp.
